This book represents an extensive analysis of the banking system downfall that happened in the 2008 economic crisis. It is a comparison between the American and Romanian banking system, pointing out the differences between a capitalist and an ex-communist country. The purpose of this books is to explain what caused the global recessions and why did it have so many different consequences between these two countries. Furthermore, there are a series of before and after comparisons, in order to emphasize the differences that the crisis brought. All the analysis made on the Romanian banking system are based on data provided by the Romanian Government, pointing out a true evolution of the economic environment, even in the crisis period. This is one of the many differences compared to the American banking system, making this one of the biggest anomalies that made Romania one of the most intriguing economic Nebula ( Romania keeps having the highest GDP increase per year compared to the rest of the European states ).
